ECMP 2021 virtual edition: a great, successful case history.

4 congress days, about 1100 attendees from more than 60 countries, 50 live sessions, 26 on-demand sessions with about 600 oral and poster presentations, 36 virtual booths, an advanced 3D virtual platform including live chats, virtual coffee break areas, virtual networking and social events opportunities. more than 3000 accesses all over the event with about 125000 clicks...this was the 3rd European Congress of Medical Physics- ECMP 2021 whose intense virtual programme took place from 16 to 19 June.

Great numbers for a great event, indeed.

We have been working on this project for about three years, facing many organizational difficulties (above all, the Covid-19 outbreak which made it necessary to postpone the event originally scheduled for 2020 and finally to transform it into a virtual event).

Now, at the end of our work, we really want to thank the Congress Planning Committee and the organizing bodies the European Federation of Organisations for Medical Physics (EFOMP) and the Associazione Italiana di Fisica Medica e Sanitaria (AIFM) for having given us the chance to be part of this great event. It was an incredible human and professional experience. We are very proud of it.
