Guidelines for Authors

Authors are kindly requested to submit 6-page full provisional papers, previously unpublished and relevant to the conference topics.

The submitted papers must be written in English, with a maximum page limit of 7 full pages including paper title, authors’ names and affiliations, figures, references and authors bios (maximum size 2MB). The minimum number of pages is 5.

All the papers will be reviewed by at least 3 independent reviewers to be included in the Conference Proceedings, upon registration and payment of the conference fee. Papers presented during ICEM 2024 will be potentially published in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library after a double-check by the related IEEE Services.

All authors are requested to follow the provided templates.

  • Overleaf: when working in Overleaf, the template is available at this link

Authors must respect the provided template in order to avoid disqualification for final acceptance. For example, the margin at the bottom of each page is the place reserved for IEEE Copyright and page numbers. Please don’t reduce the margin by all means.Any submitted paper not compliant with the requested template will be automatically rejected.

About creating the pdf file

The pdf file of your final submission must follow the PDF eXpress guidelines for PDF conversion included below. PDF eXpress is unnecessary for the initial submission.

Before creating the pdf file, please:

1. Check if the provided template has been 100% respected (if not, the proposed paper or the final paper will be rejected).

2. Proofread accurately the document to confirm it will not require any revision (for example, revision is impossible after submitting the final version).

IMPORTANT! ICEM Statement of Originality and IEEE Copyright

Before submitting the final PDF version, please do verify on that the ICEM Statement of Originality has been respected, the Statement of Originality being "We authors confirm that we have not published the paper with the above-mentioned title neither completely nor in parts of it in any other format before (journals, conferences, workshops, symposia or any other contribution".

Moreover, during the submission of the final version, you will be asked to click the IEEE Copyright box.

Any paper not respecting the two previous requirements could be rejected at the latest stage when the ICEM 2024 Proceedings will be generated.

Creating your PDF eXpress Account

Log in to the IEEE PDF eXpress site: https://ieee-pdf-express.org

First-time users should do the following:

  1. Select the New Users - Click Here link.
  2. Enter the following:

60801X for the Conference ID

  • your email
  • a password

3. Continue to enter information as prompted.

An Online confirmation will be displayed and an email confirmation will be sent verifying your account setup.

Previous users of PDF eXpress need to follow the above steps, but should enter the same password that was used for previous conferences. Verify that your contact information is valid.

Contacting PDF eXpress Support

Access the Publications Support Center for IEEE PDF eXpress.

If you do not find an answer in the Find Answers tab, go to the Submit A Question tab. Your question will be forwarded to IEEE PDF Support and answered within 3 business days.
